This class includes awareness-level topics for animal response operations. Topics include, but are not limited to the following:
- Various types of animal response calls
- Scene size-up and PPE
- Resource considerations and how to obtain them
- Notification processes in NC
- Animal behavior and handling tips
- Pet and animal preparedness
- Animal-focused training opportunities
This course is a virtual offering and will be conducted via an online platform. Students will receive the class link one week before the training. Attendance will be taken throughout the class time and students must attend at least 80% of the class to receive credit.
