Days 1 – 3:
This class will prepare you to be a commercial drone pilot and meet FAA Part 107. FAA says if you use a drone to take photos or videos and they are used for any purposes that may be used other than for hobbyist purposes, you need to meet Part 107. Commercial Examples would be for search and rescue, damage assessment and flying overhead for commercial and residential fires. Upon completion of the class, you will have the knowledge to take and pass the FAA 60 question test.
Day 4: (Optional) Students will spend the day operating drones and receiving hands on training.

Offering Specific Information
Approved registrants will be sent a reservation link with Wake Tech CC. All approved registrants must complete the WTCC reservation task no later than January 4, 2021 to be given access to this course online. Only Fee Waived eligible applicants will be approved for registration/reservation. To be eligible for fee waiver registrants must be affiliated with a North Carolina fire, police, ems, emergency management agency or a member of the armed forces with a duty station assignment in NC. Approval will be granted to non-traditional emergency responders as well that are affiliated and fee waiver eligible through a state or local EOP.
