FAA Part 107 - Commercial Drone Training (FAA-107)

Days 1 – 3:

This class will prepare you to be a commercial drone pilot and meet FAA Part 107. FAA says if you use a drone to take photos or videos and they are used for any purposes that may be used other than for hobbyist purposes, you need to meet Part 107. Commercial Examples would be for search and rescue, damage assessment and flying overhead for commercial and residential fires. Upon completion of the class, you will have the knowledge to take and pass the FAA 60 question test.

Day 4:  (Optional) Students will spend the day operating drones and receiving hands on training.

This is an asynchronous self-paced online course using Moodle. Will Stavanja, Instructor will guide you through the course as he facilitates the instruction from Sept. 09 to Oct. 21..  Prior approval is required to ensure participants are eligible for public safety fee waiver with the local community college prior to being registered for the class. Full registration with Wake Tech CC is required.
