Event Description

Emergency Exercise Development for Healthcare (CapRAC - 002)

The Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) doctrine is flexible, scalable, adaptable, and practical aid to stakeholders across the whole community. HSEEP doctrine is applicable for exercises across all mission areas; prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. Using HSEEP supports the National Preparedness System.

CMS has recommended that all seventeen provider types that are responsible for meeting the expectations of the Emergency Preparedness Rule utilize HSEEP concepts when planning and facilitating emergency exercises.

During this course participants will learn more about the HSEEP doctrine and how it can be applied specifically to developing emergency exercises within the healthcare industry.

This course is not equivalent to the E/L/K-146.a Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) course and does not satisfy the Master of Exercise Practitioner and the Emergency Management Professional Program HSEEP course requirements.  For information concerning the HSEEP course, please contact training@ncem.org
