Event Description

WMD First Responder Federal, State and Local Training Course (STALO)

The objective of the FBI WMDD First Responders, Federal, State and Local (STALO) Training Program is to provide awareness of WMD matters and threats to federal, state and local agencies along with private industry front line personnel.  This program provides each participant the opportunity to assess their respective levels of preparedness in case of a WMD event and opportunities to identify joint-agency initiatives.  Front line responders strive to recognize WMD threats in order to protect themselves and the public.  Given the proper information, front line responders are better suited to recognize when to notify the FBI, Emergency Management and Public Health, in order to initiate further investigation.

This is a one day class for all first responders that focuses on WMD matters to include the role of how the FBI, Public Health, LRN, RRT and CST respond to an incident and what their capabilities are.
