NC Catawba Flood Ex (NC-E-2585)

The 2019 Catawba Flood Exercise is a wide area search exercise designed to test water rescue capability to mobilize, integrate, and deploy flood rescue assets in response to a large scale-flooding incident. The exercise will include areas to test resources in dynamic and static water rescue, wide area search, logistics and base of operations, communications, as well as command and control. Air and ground resources will be utilized to respond to various scenarios and provide time for debriefings to share best practices across the various response agencies. This exercise is open to instate and out of state resources as one of the main exercise objectives is to integrate response organizations across multiple jurisdictions.

Offering Specific Information

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2019 NC Catawba Flood Exercise. To register for this event, we ask that each team register individually using the below link. When you register as a team, you will be able to input all the personnel that plan to attend as well as provide specifics on your agencies capabilities and desired mission types. 

A meal (grab and go) will be provided to participants working during their assigned operational period. There will be two operational period's each day. Operational period 1 will be 0700 hrs - 1500 hrs and operational period 2 will be 1500 hrs to 2300 hrs. 

Limited sleeping space will be available in the base of operations for teams who are not self-sufficient. Teams are encouraged to bring their own base of operations to set up on site to test your team logistics. Power will be available for your BoO footprint.
