Event Description

Operational Vehicle Extrication (FOR-0012)

Many municipal first responders are trained in traditional auto extrication. However, during civil disturbance or other large-scale events, traditional tools may not be available. Whether due to an IED, TARMAC attack or a run of the mill vehicle accident, removing an injured colleague from a wrecked vehicle may not be a simple task. This course is designed to give personnel the knowledge, skills, and abilities to assess the damage to the motor vehicle, determine the type of extrication/extraction method warranted, and execute the extrication/extraction plan.

    • Reclaiming parts of the vehicle for patient transport and treatment
  • Extrication Process
