*****Attention: In compliance with North Carolina Executive Order 224, face coverings will be required for all indoor in-person courses offered by North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM) until the Executive Order is rescinded. This Executive Order applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated students, staff and instructors.
Please do not attend any course if you have tested positive for COVID-19, have been exposed to COVID-19, or have COVID-19 like symptoms (headache, cough, sneezing, fever, body aches, etc.).
Frequent handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer is recommended for all individuals attending any NCEM course offering.*****
Given the positive direction of COVID-19 trends across North Carolina, and understanding that quality training is a critical component to successful response, NCEM is currently working to resume in-person training. In doing so, NCEM will strive to prioritize the wellness of our public safety community. Preparations are currently being made to ensure safe practices are upheld and aligned with state COVID-19 guidance. NCEM Training staff are accepting training requests from local emergency managers and will prioritize classes based upon timing, logistical support, instructor availability, and other factors. If you have training needs, please complete the training request located in the document library of TERMS and submit as directed on the form. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we work to resume activities safely and effectively over the coming months.
As we resume in-person training, we ask that all instructors, facilitators, staff and participants join us in keeping everyone safe and healthy. Prior to your participation in training, please review the Policies and Procedures for training along with the NCDHHS Recommendations for Protecting Each Other from COVID-19.
